How to use SafariX

SafariX is a tiny, portable browser that looks exactly like Safari on a Mac — but it runs on Windows 11. It's made for one job: help you record product videos that look premium, without needing a Mac.

You open your site in SafariX, hit record with OBS or the Windows Game Bar, and your landing page suddenly feels like an Apple product video. The frame does the work — your site doesn't have to change.

• Windows 11 (64-bit) — that's it
• No admin password needed
• Any modern laptop or desktop, 4 GB RAM is plenty
• Nothing to install — it's a portable zip

1. Download SafariX for Win11 — it's a zip, about 110 MB.
2. Right-click the zip → Extract all → pick a folder you like.
3. Double-click SafariX.exe. That's it.

To remove it later, just delete the folder. It never touches your system.

SafariX is built to be filmed. Here's a simple setup that works great:

1. Open your live site in SafariX (just paste the URL).
2. Make the window a comfortable size — not full screen, a little breathing room looks best.
3. Start recording:
   • OBS Studio — free, great quality. Use Window Capture → SafariX.
   • Windows Game Bar — press Win + G → Record.
   • Screen Studio — paid, but adds smooth auto-zoom and cursor polish.
4. Scroll gently, pause on the good parts, done.

Record at 60fps if you can — SafariX stays buttery even while capturing.

• Keep it centered. Don't go full screen. A little desktop around the window feels more real and more premium.
• Use a clean desktop. A plain wallpaper (or the default Windows 11 blue) makes the browser pop.
• Scroll slowly. Let people see your site. Quick scrolls feel rushed.
• Pause on the hero. Hold 2 seconds on your headline before you scroll — it gives viewers a moment.
• Record the interaction. Click tabs, type in the address bar — the browser is real, so it reacts like the Mac does.

• The window looks blurry on a scaled display. Try 100% scaling in Windows Settings → Display, or record at a higher resolution.
• Text looks small. Press Ctrl + + to zoom in a bit — SafariX keeps it crisp.
• It won't open. Make sure you extracted the zip first (don't run from inside the zip). Then try right-click → Run.
• Want a fresh start? Delete the folder and extract again. Portable means a clean slate is just a re-extract away.

Do I need a Mac? Nope. That's the whole point — SafariX brings the Mac look to your Windows PC.

Is it a real browser? Yes. It loads real websites, has tabs, back/forward, and an address bar. It just looks like Safari.

Will it install anything? No. It runs from its folder. No installer, no registry changes, no leftovers.

Is it affiliated with Apple? No. It's an independent fan project that loves the details.

Can I use it every day? You can — it's a fully working browser. But it was built to make your product look amazing on video.
